If you love Nando’s and peri chicken then Franzos is a must try! This place is family-friendly, super-affordable and best of all, tasty.
Check this out, we ordered a whole chicken, two cans of drinks, and two large sides. What would cost you £19.95 from Nando’s, is only £12 at Franzos! Also, the portions from Franzos are very generous. We ordered peri-peri chips and corn on the cob for our large sides.
Franzos Order Summary
I ordered a full single platter, which comes with a full chicken, quartered, two large sides and two cans of drinks. For the two sides, we went for corn on the cob and peri peri chips (£12). We also ordered the Gourmet Chicken burger to give it a try (£3.50) – In total, our bill came up to £15.50.
How did the peri chicken from Franzos taste?
Delicious! That about sums it up in one word. Choosing a heat was easy. Extra-hot, for me, packs flavour in every bite. Much like Nando’s. I found it to be almost identical. Others may say it tastes even better. One thing we can all agree on is that it’s a damn good delicious bargain.
Franzos served a generous amount of chips along with an even more generous topping of peri salt. The corn on the cobs were two full-sized cobs, cut in half for each person. Buttered and grilled, so you don’t have to do it yourself. I like to add peri sauce to my corn on the cob for extra added flavour.
How was the chicken gourmet burger?
We bought this because we were interested in what a Chicken Gourmet burger would look and taste like. Unfortunately, when it arrived we were rather disappointed. It looked like a beef burger from a chicken shop. Little confused, I bit into the burger, it tasted of a chicken shish kebab. It didn’t taste freshly made either. It tasted as if it was a frozen shish kebab, cooked and put into a bun.

Was very disappointed by what they had called a ‘Gourmet Chicken Burger’ but nonetheless, everything else seemed on point. I know many of you may agree or disagree, I’d love to know your opinion.
