The exciting month of Ramadan has arrived and I’m sure many of you are planning on finding a delicious place outside to have iftar. We have put together a list of 30+ restaurants, some offering discount codes, set Ramadan iftar menus and some just serving simple deliciousness. So, I’m sure your belly is rumbling with the thought of a tasty iftar, without further ado let us begin!
The Great Chase – Islington
This is a great place, not only are they alcohol-free and fully halal. They serve up great dry cocktails and delicious British European cuisine. The Great Chase will be serving up Iftar throughout Ramadan Wednesdays to Sundays from 8 pm. They will also have a set Iftar menu. Fatboyz Diner – Ilford
This cool looking urban American themed dinner serves up some wicked tasty burgers, milkshakes and even dessert at affordable prices. If you plan to visit Fatboyz Diner for iftar, be sure to ring them up and book a table as they are scarce on seating capacity.

Maison Du Mezze – Lebanese
A new Lebanese restaurant in Leicester Square. They have a fantastic offering for the duration of Ramadan. A four-course set menu for £35 per person. Maison Du Mezze has a menu full of exotic flavours from the Middle East.
The menu changes daily with specials including mouth-watering chicken molokhia, lamb okra, kibbeh labneh and traditional Iftar dessert katayef, which is a sweet dumpling filled with cream or nuts. Brioche Burgers – Walthamstow
A cool burger and brunch joint is Brioche Burgers in Walthamstow. This place serves up an amazing brunch on weekends as well as great burgers too. Brioche Burgers will have a suhoor menu. That’s fluffy delicious pancakes for sehri, eggs, a non-traditional full English, burgers and yumminess!
When: Friday and Saturday throughout Ramadan until 1:30am.

Burger UK – Camden
Free-range meat, fully halal and another joint without any alcohol. Burger UK, currently in my book serves one of the best beef gourmet burgers out there! Not only beef but their crispy chicken, truffle fries and strips are all worth the travel. They are a small joint located in Camden and don’t usually take bookings. It’s perhaps best to call them before visiting to ensure you get a seat.
When: From 5:30pm onwards.

Mango Tree – Belgravia
Here’s a fancy place you can visit this Ramadan. A great place to go with your better half or family to have a nice meal. Mango Tree located in Belgravia serves a twist on traditional Thai cuisine in their contemporary dining room.
When: 15th May until 14th June 2018 until 11pm. Booking is required. Also, if you quote MThalal_girl when booking online, you can get 10% off.

Red Iron – Uxbridge
Red Iron has been a great place to grab a good burger. With a wide variety of burgers to choose from, you can’t go wrong at Red Iron burgers when you visit for Iftar.
When: From Saturday 19th May to the remainder of Ramadan.

Talli Joes – Covent Garden
Stated to be the best Indian restaurant in London and recommended by the Michelin guide in 2017. Talli Joes is running a special iftar meal throughout Ramadan. Every iftar they will be serving dates and water, followed by a large sharing platter of different dishes and unlimited masala chai. This place is worth a try, at £35 per person, 10% goes to the charity “Curry for Change” which helps children on the street in 19 different countries.
Meal Includes: Halwai ki Mattar Kachori, spicy pea-stuffed short bread in butternut squash and potato curry. Streetfood originated from Delhi, kale chaat, crispy kale, potato pomegranate, sweet yoghurt, Moong Dal Pakori, lentil fritters, mooli and green chutney. Truffle ghee kulcha, naan stuffed with cottage cheese, brushed with truffle ghee, chicken 21 – stir-fried chicken tossed with South Indian spices and curry leaves, fish kempu, classic Mangalorean crispy fish and okra, tadka mayo, Gol baari kosha mangsho, lamb roast on the bone and paratha. Inspired by Gol baari of Kolkata, bohri chicken, cooked with a secret combination of masalas of the Bohri community.

Boondocks – City Road
Boondocks are offering an all-American feast for just £21 per person in celebration of Ramadan. From Tuesday 15th May until Thursday 14th June at sundown. You can purchase tickets from Eventbrite for Boondocks. The ticket comes with starters at the table and one main, side, dessert and a drink.

Dishoom – Indian Cuisine
Dishoom is a Bombay inspired Indian cuisine restaurant serving up great Bombay breakfast, lunch, afternoon chai and dinners. This place is a great choice for Iftar. It’s best to reserve a table before visiting.

The Meat Co. – Shepherds Bush
I would say The Meat Co sets the standard for what a good steak should taste like. With a dedicated halal menu, The Meat Co will be offering complimentary dates, yoghurt, water and soup, to break your fast during Ramadan. This Ramadan, they recommend booking 45 minutes before breaking fast to avoid long waits.

Tarbush – Shepherds Bush
Tarbush is a middle eastern cuisine located in Shepherds Bush. At very reasonable pricing, this place is a great option to break your fast during Iftar. The lamb shoulder is a reccomendation from many. It also comes with rice and salad.

Queen of Sheba – Paddington
A place of colourful, flavoursome food, Queen of Sheba is serving up authentic ‘gourmet’ Yemeni food and is located in Paddington, tucked into a quiet corner.

Tinseltown – American Diner
This family-friendly American diner serves up burgers, hotdogs, fries, nachos and milkshake. This place is definitely family-friendly, although if you’re looking for something tasty, I would say Tinseltown is subpar at best, although many children find it great. For this Ramadan, Tinseltown will be offering customers waiting for their main meals free dates, nachos and milkshakes. Their opening hours will also be extending, where possible, to ensure guests are not rushed.

Guanabana – Camden
One of the first Latin Caribbean restaurants in London, Guanabana has a great halal menu. With classic lamb curry, jerk chicken, tofu tacos, chicken chicharrones (crispy chicken skins), cickled cactus fries and roast!

Tarshish – Wood Green
This fabulous restaurant, Tarshish inspired by Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, with steak and kebabs. When we dined at Tarshish we experienced amazing steaks and excellent service. Tarshish were also the winners of the Fine Dining category at the British Kebab Awards.

HS&Co. – Stratford
HS & Co is a fully halal steakhouse that has a strict no alcohol policy. Instead, they serve a variety of refreshing mocktails and non-alcoholic beer. They specialise in Irish steak cooked on a Josper grill. They have a. special Ramadan menu, which includes a giant burger that can be shared between four people as well as dates. HS & Co also will provide a designated area for prayer too.

Habanero – Burgers and Peri Peri
Habanero is a great option for a quick peri-peri meal, it’s worth it for the chicken, although I recommend staying away from the beef burgers. For Ramadan, they will be giving out free water and dates in both their branches at Tooting and Willesden Green. You can read our full review about Habaneros here.

Etles Uyghur – Walthamstow
Etles Uyghur is a cooking mix of influences from the old Silk Road trading routes including Turkish, Mongolian, Persian and Chinese. This place is surprisingly extremely tasty, in addition to dishing out generous portions. They will be opening and closing later for Ramadan. Also, they will be offering 10% off for groups of four or more and free starters.
Discount: Etles Uyghur are offering 10% off for groups of four or more people when you quote “Ramadan”.

Dishes based on traditional recipes cooked by mothers all over the Middle East and North Africa, Comptoir Libanais have a set menu, costing £24.95 per person and is available during Ramadan.
When: 15th May to 14th June, from 6pm.

BIRD – Original Fried Chicken and Waffles
The fried chicken and waffle BIRD are open until 11pm during Ramadan. There is no set menu and it is advised to book in advance.
Location: Camden, Islington, Shoreditch and Westfield Stratford City.
Band of Burgers – Brick Lane & Camden
Here’s another good one! Band of Burgers is offering a special Ramadan menu at £20 per person. It includes three starters, one burger from five daily options plus Band of Burger’s hand-cut-fries, two hot wings, dessert of the week, one soft drink and homemade lemonade. Sweet ah? Advance booking is required and all food served is halal.

Fat Burger – Wembley
Fatburger is an American franchise which came to the UK and now has two locations in London. The Wembley branch is opening their doors till late this Ramadan, closing at 1am. It can be a place for Iftar or Suhoor. A fast-food concept, making fresh smashed-beef patty burgers with lean meat, you can stack your burger as high as you want.
When: 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th June and 2am on 17th, 18th, 23rd and 24th June.

Chiquen – Wood Green
This little gem hiding in the Wood Green mall is similar to the franchise Nando’s. Delivering delicious peri-peri-like flavours. Serving marinaded chicken to grilled chicken burgers, Chiquen is bound to hit the spot when it comes to protein cravings or just a good warming meal. They’re also considerably cheap. We managed to get starters, a whole chicken, four sides and drinks for £24.99.

Meat and Shake – Sweet Wood Smoked Meat
Meat and shake do some brilliant slow cooked smoked meat. For Ramadan, they’re serving special “Ramadan Tacos”. So if you’re feeling that, book your table and head over there.
Location: Tooting, Ealing and Watford.
Pie Republic – Forest Gate
Whether you’re after a good pie or a full English breakfast, Pie Republic will remain open until 2:30am throughout Ramadan. That means you can go for Sehri as well as Iftar!

Chai Naasto – Hammersmith
If you’re a fan of good spicy, heart-warming savoury Indian food, then Chai Naasto is the spot for you. They are featuring a special Ramadan menu, in Hammersmith.

The Niwala Chat Platter:
£14.95 per person; which includes Punjabi samosas, lamb samosas, aloo tikki chaat, dahi puri, bhel puri and kachumber mini chutney. Served in a mini morsel platter.
£16.95 per person; A Nawabi indulgence of assorted smoked tandoori delicacies, including hara bhara kebab, sheekh kebab, galouti kebab, Rajkot jeera murgh, chicken tikka, masala chaap ribs and kachumber mint chutney.
Dawaat Ki Thali Platter:
£22.95 per person; This platter includes the four aromatic Chef’s signature curry bowls with bold textures and hearty butter chicken, laal maas lamb, daal makhani, matter paneer, pilau rice, garlic naan, masala chaas/laban, poppadum and pickle and a gulab jamun.
Shehan Shah Tandoori Guzarish Platter:
£24 per person; 2 pieces of king prawns, 2 pieces of soft lamb cutlets, marinated twice and cooked in the tandoor.
Additionally, you can add a fresh passion fruit juice for £3.50 and a fresh fruit salad with Alfonso mango for £4.50.

Teaze Burger Joint – Stepney Green
Located 10 metres away from Stepney green station is a burger joint by the name of Teaze. This Ramadan they are opening their doors between 7pm till 2am for Iftar and Sehri. If you’re after some good protein, in the form of chicken, burgers or Asian influenced American food, then Teaze is the place for you.
When: 7pm till 2am for the duration of Ramadan

Pie Factory – Give Charity by Eating Iftar
Pie Factory has teamed up with a national charity and are targeting to donate Ramadan food packs, which will go towards feeding a family for an entire month. For every iftar eaten at Pie Factory this month, will increase the number of food packs donated.
For £8.50 you get a pie, sausage roll, tuna Yorkshires, channa Yorkshires, lamb chop, chicken wing, caramelised carrots, mash, salad and gravy.

Homemade Orange Chicken Recipe
I’m adding a little bonus, this isn’t a restaurant but perhaps something you can make at home for iftar. It’s extremely quick and easy as well as delicious. Orange chicken served with rice, made using Mahbir tangy orange marmalade infused with premium Indian saffron. The Ramadan Tent Project
One of the main purposes of Ramadan is giving charity and helping those in need. Both the homeless and public are invited to The Ramadan Tent Project to open the fast together, as well as helping individuals rebuild their confidence and social connections. The project aims to unite people from different backgrounds and faiths through food. Muslim or non-muslim, everybody is invited to break your fast at sundown.
